Venturing to the library

Good Morning,

Today’s blog is again a bit different than previous ones. In fact, todays feature is an on campus location and as of right now it is one of my favorite spots to study. Unfortunately it is far from being a secret so I am sure many of you will know the place I’m featuring this week.

In fact let’s play a bit of “Guess Who” except the “who” will be the place.

The place to which I am referring is in the library. It is a big room with high ceiling that I love. The walls are lined with shelves of reference books. In the middle of the room there are the so-called “comfy chairs” where undoubtedly you will find more than one person napping. To the right and left there are long wooden tables with green lamps and of course there are plugs for every seat so students can plug on their laptops. This is where you will find people working and studying. You may already have guessed where I am talking about but just in case I’ll give you one more clue. This room seriously reminds me of the great hall at Hogwarts not at mealtime but when the students are taking their final exams of the year (Maybe this clue doesn’t help at all and I apologize but I just couldn’t help mentioning it.)

In case you have no idea what I am talking about I’ll just tell you now: The room I am describing is the Arts and Humanities Reading Room or just the Reading Room. I don’t know if that is its actual name but I have heard many people refer to it as that.

Anyway, I love this room for one because it reminds me of Harry Potter and I pretend to be at Hogwarts every time I go there but more so because I am productive there. The atmosphere is calm and not too many people talk and then when someone does talk too loudly usually you can just glare at them until they shush. Disclaimer: glaring at someone is passive aggressive and it would be better to ask the person nicely to quite down ;)

Honestly I wish I lived closer to the library so that I could spend more time in this lovely room because my work sessions would be more productive than they are in my room where there are lots of distractions.

Well that’s all for now.

Until next time!
